4Cr13 steel, a martensite stainless steel, has a high hardenability, good polishing properties, excellent resistance to corrosion and hot oxidation [1]. Due to these excellent properties, 4Cr13 stainless steel can be applied in several important fields, such as precision mechanism, structural automotive application, and petrochemical industry.

Product Details

4CR13 Steel

4Cr13 steel is a marensitictype staines stel, which has higher handnes than 30r13 siel afer quenchin.Thesitel has ood mechanical procesin peromance. After heat treatment (quenching and tempering), it has good corrosion resistance, polishing performance, high strength and wear resistance.

Heat treatment of 4Cr13 steel

1. Annealing
750 to 800°C for about 2 to 5 hours
Slow controlled cooling at 10 to 20°C per hour to about 650°C;
Further cooling in air, max. 200 HB

2. Hardening
1000 to 1050°C
Maintain curing temperature for 15 to 30 minutes
Quenching in oil/compressed gas/hot bath
Available hardness: 53 – 56 HRC

3. Tempering
Immediately after hardening, slowly heat to tempering temperature, depending on required hardness to 180 to 300 °C
1 hour per 20 mm: minimum 2 hours

Applications

4Cr13 steel is suitable for high-mirror, high-precision injection mold cores and cavities. Or used as corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant parts such as hot oil pumps, valve plates, valve bearings, medical equipment, springs, etc.

Typical Application:

4Cr13 steel is suitable for electrical discharge and grinding processes. It is suitable for making mold cores and cavities of high-precision injection molds with high mirror surface. It has high hardness and toughness after heat treatment. It can also be used for stamping mold accessories, templates, etc., where there are requirements for clamping on the surface of the product. Jigs and molds, etc.; suitable for scenes with high temperature rust and anti-corrosion.

Civil use: can be used to make table knives and outdoor knives.
