Ul Core Lamination refers to the process of constructing a transformer or inductor core using thin, stacked layers of laminated steel, often szilíciumacél, to reduce energy losses due to eddy currents. These laminations are typically coated with an insulating material, like varnish, to further minimize eddy current formation. This design is crucial for efficient electrical power conversion in transformers and other devices.
Zhongtongweiye Special Steel is a manufacturer who produces single phase / three phase lamination: EI, UI, UT, 3PEI.etc. The thickness can be from 0.23-0.5mm, CRNGO and CRGO szilíciumacél material from famous steel factory.
Our high quality szilíciumacél laminations can be applied in many products, such as Power Transformer, Ballast Resistor, UPS, Charger, Control Transformers and other electrical appliances. Any comments are welcome.

Ul Core Lamination refers to the process of constructing a transformer or inductor core using thin, stacked layers of laminated steel, often silicon steel, to reduce energy losses due to eddy currents. These laminations are typically coated with an insulating material, like varnish, to further minimize eddy current formation. This design is crucial for efficient electrical power conversion in transformers and other devices.
Reducing Eddy Currents:
The primary purpose of laminating the core is to minimize eddy currents, which are circulating currents induced in the core by the changing magnetic field. These currents dissipate energy as heat, reducing the efficiency of the device.
Lamination Material:
Common materials for laminations include silicon steel, chosen for its magnetic properties and ability to reduce hysteresis losses (energy lost due to the magnetic field changing direction).
Insulation:
Each lamination is separated from its neighbors by an insulating layer (e.g., varnish) to force eddy currents to flow within individual laminations rather than across the entire core.
Applications:
Laminated cores are widely used in transformers, inductors, and other electrical components where efficient power conversion is required.
